Dear Derek and Pam,
I just had been visiting the page of eglise evangelique de Bergerac, so I also came on your site. Because I did not find any emailadress on the site of the church I now write to you. We are three Germans passing through Bergerac the Wedn 31 of August. I just checked in the internet today if there are Christians in Bergerac. We pass Bergerac when we return from a conference in England, flying into Bergerac and from there on we are going to visit friends in Bordeaux. I hoped there would be any meeting taking place that evening in church, like a bible study, because it is always a joy to meet brohers and sisters from other countries. Maybe you can send me the email adress of the pastor (or we can meet you - english is even easier than french, but we also speak some french : )). For sure it is holiday time, so not many people are there, but if it is God's idea he can provide some encounter.
Hoping to hear from you
Dieu vous bénisse

I am so sad to learn of Andrew's rapid demise. When we moved to Totterdown Baptist Church, Bristol in 2006 Andrew was a great encouragement to me, and was very active in facilitating fellowship between the churches in the South Bristol Baptist Cluster. I have fond memories of his warmth, openness and honesty and want to assure the family and church of our prayers at this time of loss. A few weeks ago I sent him the following verse, "But this happened so that we might not rely on ourselves, but on God who raises the dead." Although we cannot understand now, we hope in a God of resurrection and cling to Him.

I am a former member of the Barry Harriers athletic club over 30 years ago, where Paddy (Andrew) Ireland was my age group coach and also his father took an interest in my training. Paddy was an amazing man who came from such a lovely family. Time spent with the Harriers were ones of the best days of my life. Everyone I have spoken to recently in regards to the sad loss of Paddy, from my mother to other members of the atheltic club have spoken of their fondness of him, and we wish to give our love to his family at this sad time.
I am hoping to get time off work (I live in Wells, just up the road from the crematorium) to come on Thursday to say my goodbyes.
Please pass my love onto his wife and children and those who thought he was amazing too.

I was so saddened to hear of Andrew's passing. He was such a great encouragement to me while in my previous post as director of an urban mission project in Bristol, and when I first started as a student pastor in Bedminster, which was part of the same Baptist Cluster as Stockwood BC. He was such a lovely man and will be missed. My thoughts and prayers, and the prayers of East Street Baptist church, go out to the family and all at Wincanton BC.

I was so sorry to hear of Andrew's passing away. I, and the fellowship of Keynsham Baptist Church will be remembering you; his family, fellowship and friends in our prayers. May God bless you and strengthen you all at this time of sadness and separation.
'He alone is my refuge, my place of safety; he is my God, and I trust him.' Psalm 91:2
