Missionaries

We have links with the Chadwell family, Derek and Pam Cook, Paul and Rachel Elliston and Joanna Smith..

The Chadwells, Ian, Cynthia and their children, Justin and Lucy, are working with BMS World Mission in Nepal, where they have lived since 2006. Their priority areas are health and education. Ian is working with International Nepal Fellowship (INF) and is involved in a number of projects related to different missionary hospitals. Cynthia is a volunteer in an education centre and helps with the children’s work at the local Nepali Church, which they attend.

Derek and Pam Cook lead a Cafe Church in Bergerac, the Dordogne. This is an English speaking church and seeks to reach out to ex-pats living in, and visitors to the Dordogne. Our involvement with this church happened through Dave and Maggie Hankins, who made contact with the Cooks, during their time in France. Dave is one of the deacons (leaders) of Wincanton Baptist Church.

Paul and Rachel Elliston are living in Huancayo, in the hill country of Peru. Paul works for the Peru Children’s Trust. Rachel teaches English in a local college and they are part of the leadership of a local Vineyard Church.

Joanna Smith, sister of Rachel, is training to be a Youth Pastor. Her course is in Cambridge and she has a placement with Soul Survivor Harrow. She is in her second year at the moment.

Rachel and Joanna grew up as part of Wincanton Baptist Church and their parents John and Jane Smith serve as deacon and pastoral team member respectively.
